- Infants 0 - 6 months 40 mg per day
- Infants 7 - 12 months 50 mg per day
- Children 1 - 3 years 15 mg per day
- Children 4 - 8 years 25 mg per day
- Children 9 - 13 years 45 mg per day
- Adolescent female 14 - 18 years 65 mg per day
- Adolescent male 14 - 18 male 75 mg per day
- Adult male 90 mg per day
- Adult female 75 mg per day

Vitamin C is not-toxic because it is water-soluble and it is excreted regularly.
High doses (more then 2000 mg per day) can cause:
